Matsuba

Matsuba is made with SVG with CSS taking advantage of SVG's blend features, it uses the mix-blend-mode tag on each layer. I used AI to build the code effectively 'art directing' and tuning ChatGPT to do what I want. The piece loads with random colour and location and will loop and reload.

It’s influenced by pattern in nature, relentless repetition and seasonality. 'Matsuba' means pine needle in Japanese. It should be responsive and play on any screen, any size and loop, but with a different iteration every time.
